IoT Based Solution for the safety of the Rolling Shutters

The proposed model relates to the rolling shutters, and more specifically, to an anti-theft system for preventing vigorously unlocking of rolling shutter. It incorporates a housing, wherein two or more sensors such as pressure sensor and heat sensor are operatively coupled to sense the vigorously unlocking of rolling shutter, an alert unit such as a buzzer to alarm in case of theft, a controlling unit (PCB) to collect and process the data of sensors, a battery is configured inside the housing to supply power to all the components and a wireless communication unit to transmit the notifications to registered communication device such as mobile phone. Additionally, an outer casing covers the entire housing; wherein, on one side of casing an USB port and a power ports are arranged. This device can be attached with any existing shutters from inner side that means from outside it would be difficult for anyone to know the presence of this device. In an exemplary embodiment, when a person tries to open the rolling shutter through any metal rod, the pressure sensor gets activated; a notification is sent to the registered communication device through wireless communication unit; and alert unit generates sound signal (i.e. activate buzzer); and owner can take necessary actions. Similarly, when a person tries to cut the shutter through gas cutter, the heat sensor gets activated; a notification is sent to the registered communication device through wireless communication unit; and alert unit generate sound signals.
