Enhancement of Working Life of Agricultural Equipments and Tools with the Development of Wear Resistant Alloy Powder Coatings

Due to the erosive nature of sand and stones, agricultural tools, and components such as ploughs, hole diggers, and harvester blades face a critical problem of wear and erosion. This results in decreased efficiency of the equipment at some point, increased maintenance costs, and an increase in the total cost of work. We propose a solution that will establish the composition of Wear Resistant Coating Powders. Such solutions are utilised for the thermal spray coating of agricultural tools and components to provide protection against the high rate of wear, thereby increasing the tool’s service life. Coating technologies are highly efficient and cost-effective in achieving the desired results. Coating is likely the only effective way to provide protection from wear and extend the life of agricultural equipment, as has been demonstrated in numerous journals and reviews of the relevant literature.
