Development of Indigenous Inline-Optical Density (OD) Meter (Turbidity Sensor)

Turbidity metres are used for in-line turbidity measurement in industrial manufacturing processes. to help achieve process control in crystallisation, phase separation, biomass growth, beer filtration, colour identification, and other critical applications. Some of the applications of OD metres are:

  • Breweries, chemical processing, pharmaceuticals, sugar refining, food, and beverage
  • Pharmaceutical Industry- during API production to determine when saturation has been reached.
  • High-performance turbidity measurement – for measuring suspended particle concentrations
  • Colour sensors and turbidity measurement in the brewery and beverage industries
  • Measurement of pH/ORP, conductivity, dissolved oxygen, dissolved CO2, and turbidity.
