Autoclavable Multipurpose Steel Chamber

The proposed autoclavable stainless-steel chamber is multipurpose equipment intended for the transportation and storage of a wide range of laboratory apparatus before, during, and after sterilisation in an autoclave. It is thermostable and can easily withstand the operational conditions of an autoclave, i.e., temperature (121°C), pressure (15 psi), and humidity (100%). Fabrication of the chamber with stainless steel will make it light weight and resistant to corrosion. Additionally, encasing the chamber with mesh would reduce the chances of accidental falls of glassware during transportation. The chamber is divided into two detachable compartments. This allows the user to use the chambers either separately or as a single unit. It also includes three removable slabs that can be used interchangeably, depending on the user’s needs and usage. The chamber has designated areas for glassware, which maximises space utilisation without compromising overall sterility. The chamber is fitted with heat-resistant handles to avoid any harm to the users. Further, the bottom chamber is comprised of a wheel base that allows hassle-free transportation of glassware before, during, and after sterilisation.
