Community based Plastic Pyrolysis by Plasma

What happens to an empty water bottle that we use on our journey? It probably ends up in a landfill. Landfills are the predominant waste disposal method worldwide. All the plastic waste that ends up in landfills will sit there for generations to come without degrading. This causes water and soil pollution. Is there any other solution to this problem? As a matter of fact, yes, Plasma. What is plasma? It’s the fourth state of matter, which makes up 99% of the known universe. It’s essentially a gas that is ionized electrically. All the elements on earth can be converted into plasma. Now, what does this plasma do? It generally converts all plastic waste into its elemental form; what are we talking about here? Carbon, Hydrogen, Oxygen, Nitrogen. Now these elements can be combined to form desired products such as petroleum oil, diesel, and slag, which can be used as excellent construction materials. We all know about the three R’s which are Reduce, Reuse and Recycle which are a must for a society to follow but not just leave it there. We have modern technology, such as plasma pyrolysis, to deal with that plastic waste. Community-based plastic pyrolysis by plasma is a concept that will put small plants of plasma pyrolysis into communities and societies. A sustainable society deals with its own waste rather than making it someone else’s problem. Why are there no plasma pyrolysis plants everywhere if plasma is the magic bullet to solve all the environmental problems? The answer is away; we want the waste to be away from our sight and minds. The second problem is money, but when it comes to legacy, do we want to leave behind an ugly world or a resourceful one? Does spending just an extra amount of money to solve a major environmental hazard really make for a bad investment? The choice is ours to make.
