BhuGoal

Climate change is a worldwide concern these days. It is notably influencing Indian agriculture, which depends heavily on precise weather predictions. Satellite weather forecasts, however, are often insufficiently precise to minimize these challenges. On a rainy day, our team observed that television signals faded away just before rainfall and then restored as the sky cleared. Building on this observation, we developed a predictive device. By collecting data and implementing intelligent algorithms, we created a hardware device connected between the LNB and the transceiver to achieve accurate, localized rain prediction.

This innovation not only improves weather prediction but also supports local and regional governments by enhancing early warning systems for climate-related risks. By providing precise, real-time rain forecasts, the device can inform government agencies about imminent heavy rainfall, enabling them to issue timely alerts and take preventive actions. Furthermore, continuous data collected through this technology can contribute to long-term monitoring, which aids in formulating regional climate resilience strategies, especially for agricultural communities. This tool could thus serve as a vital component in climate change disaster risk management, empowering governments to safeguard communities and assets through informed decision-making.
