6th Advisory Board Meeting of Chitkara University NewGen IEDC

On August 9, Chitkara University NewGen IEDC organized the 6th Advisory Board meeting on the university campus. The meeting was chaired by Dr. Archana Mantri – Vice Chancellor, Chitkara University, Punjab and Chief Coordinator, Chitkara University NewGen IEDC. Dr. Naveen Vasishta (Scientist F, NEB Division, DST) and Mr. S B Sareen (Director, Department of Projects (Govt.), Entrepreneurship Development Institute of India) reviewed the progress of the DST funded Chitkara University NewGen IEDC. Dr. Sagar Juneja – Assistant Dean, CURIN and Coordinator, NewGen IEDC made the presentation. The meeting was also attended by Mr. Sanjay Bhatnagar (Head Tech-Commercialization, Chitkara University, Punjab), Dr. Adarsh Aggarwal (Head, CIIF), Dr. Gurjinder Singh (Assistant Professor, CURIN), Mr. Upendra Kumar (Chitkara University Finance Department) and two alumni entrepreneurs from the university – Mr. Aniket Bharadwaj (CEO, Seacup Visionaries Private Limited) and Mr. Shubham Goyal (Co-Founder, Zadd Automotive).

Towards the end of the review meeting, Dr. Naveen and Mr. Sareen, also met with the beneficiaries of NewGen IEDC funding and they learned about their innovations and current status of their projects.

Notably, Chitkara University NewGen IEDC has thus far supported over 90 projects with prototype development grants, filed over 50 patents and established 18 start-ups.
