Start of an Entrepreneurial Journey: Why Every Student Must Apply for Pre-Incubation Funding

Chitkara University NewGen IEDC organised an expert talk on “Start of an Entrepreneurial Journey: Why Every Student Must Apply for Pre-Incubation Funding.” The talk was delivered by Dr. Sagar Juneja, Assistant Dean, CURIN, Chitkara University, Punjab, on October 30, 2023, in association with the Institution’s Innovation Council. A total of 60 B.E. students from mechanical, mechanical, and electrical engineering backgrounds took part in this session. Students were shown a pathway to benefit from the DST-sponsored NewGen IEDC funding agency. Students gained knowledge about the pre-incubation ecosystem, and they realised that some student startups face common challenges such as limited resources and mentoring sessions, which prevent them from developing their innovation and testing it in the real world. Pre-incubation funding can bridge this gap, enabling students to build and test their ideas. Students were encouraged to participate in the upcoming event, i.e., Idea-Thon 3.0, sponsored by CU NewGen-IEDC and TEC.
