PTO Operated Hybrid Mobile Grain Dryer

A grain dryer is a machine that is used to dry or reduce the moisture content of grains. Currently, farmers are drying their grains in open sunlight, which takes many days depending on the atmosphere’s conditions and leads to uneven drying. Moreover, it involves labour and transportation costs. To address all these issues, the solution is to develop a PTO-powered Portable Grain Dryer, where the farmer takes the tractor and trolley into the fields and puts the harvested crops in the trolley, and the trolley of the tractor will act as a dryer. For continuous operation, during the daytime the drier will work on solar energy, and during the nighttime it will be operated on the PTO shaft of the tractor. Thus, the drying of grains will be faster, no labour will be involved, and there will be proper drying of the grains.
